Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
Meazy has not launched. Today this site does one thing with your data: it keeps your email if you join the waitlist. The first part of this page covers that. The second part says what we plan for the app, so you know where we are heading. It is not live yet.
Who we are
Meazy is built in Morocco by Oussama Labrahmi, a Gen Z founder helping Gen Z get through this economy. For anything about your data, write to privacy@meazyapp.com.
The waitlist: what we keep
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist.
- Which form you used on the page.
- The date and time you joined, and the version of this policy you saw.
That is all. We do not ask for your name, ID or phone number. We do not store your IP address or browser details. We set no cookies. If you pick the light or dark theme, your browser remembers it on your own device, and we never receive it.
The waitlist: why
To email you when Meazy is ready for you. We send nothing else. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give when you submit the form.
The waitlist: where it goes
- Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the small program that receives your email. It also checks you are a person and limits abuse, so it sees your IP address and browser details while it does that. We do not store them. Cloudflare keeps its own request logs under its own policy.
- Google holds your email in a private spreadsheet (Google Sheets). Only the founder and the program above can open it.
Cloudflare and Google run servers in several countries, including outside Morocco. Your email can therefore be processed outside Morocco. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. Our program never writes your email to its logs.
We will make our declaration to the CNDP, Morocco's data protection authority, under Law 09-08, before the app opens to testers.
The waitlist: how long we keep it
Until you get your invite and create an account, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights, and how to remove your email
Under Law 09-08 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can object to us using it. Write to privacy@meazyapp.com from the address you joined with, and we will remove you. We send no confirmation email when you join, so please type your address carefully.
The app: what we plan (not live yet)
This part describes the app we are building. Nobody is using it yet, and we will update this page and tell you inside the app before anything here takes effect.
Four commitments:
- We don't need to know who you are. No name, no ID, no phone number.
- The only personal detail we keep is an email, because there is no other way to reset a password.
- Your data is encrypted, and your numbers are not tied to your name.
- We show everything we keep, why and where it goes, on one screen, and you can delete it in one tap. Backups and database history expire within their retention window, and we will say how long.
What the app will keep:
- Your email, to reset your password. On our servers.
- Payment amount, shop, date and balance, to show where your money goes. On our servers, encrypted.
- What you earn each month, to tell you what you can afford. On our servers, encrypted.
- Savings, assets and debts you add, and cash corrections, to work out your net worth. On our servers, encrypted.
- Your phone's notification token, to send your one daily line. On our servers.
- Texts you choose to share, to teach Meazy new formats. On our servers, for 30 days.
Bank texts and notifications. Only texts from your bank leave your phone. Our servers read each one, and so does TypeSafe, a US company, to understand it. Then it is dropped. We never store the text. We keep only the amount, the shop, the date and your balance. Because TypeSafe is in the US, this means your bank texts are processed outside Morocco. We need your consent for that, and we will ask for it before you allow bank texts.
Voice notes and receipt photos. They are turned into text on your phone. The audio and the photo are not kept. The text is read by our servers and TypeSafe, then dropped.
A language model. When a text is hard to read, a language model helps. We will name the provider here before launch. Every number Meazy shows you is worked out by our own code, never by the model.
Saving and investing. Meazy explains options. It does not pick a product for you. Information, not financial advice.
Changes
If we change what we keep, we will update the date at the top of this page and say what changed. For the app, we will also tell you inside the app before the change takes effect.
